Cindy Bam is a designer based in Cape Town who creates luxury gowns from her Long Street workshop in Cape Town, evoking the drama and splendour of bygone times while preserving a contemporary edge.
Cindy travelled to France shortly after finishing her studies in 1993 when she was introduced to the elegance of classic French design. She returned to South Africa in 1996 and settled in Cape Town, where she obtained vital design experience. Her work not only expresses her passion for design, but also honours women’s sexuality, romanticism, and soul.
Cindy’s designs are noted for their great fit and vintage touch, thanks to the use of only the finest fabrics obtained from all over the world.
