Happyville is a Jozi Maboneng-based apparel brand founded in 2017 by Lebohang Serame with the support of Xola Mad. It draws inspiration from the nostalgic street culture around the world but stays true to the Kwaito aesthetics of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Serame cites Mandoza’s album cover themes from Tornado to Nkalakatha, Zola 7 from back in the day, and Boom Shaka’s ever-immaculate drip as important references when it comes to Happyville’s vision and aesthetic attitude. The brand gives leather a fresh and elevated feel with unique shapes, bold colours, and unisex designs. Happyville gives leather and wool energy.
