Carlo Gibson has been in the creative industry for 30-plus years and now with his brand Klipa, or Denim Klipa, he is taking on the world of menswear fashion one step at a time with Western African aesthetics, tribal prints, masquerades, crochet details and empowering messages and performances.
Klipa is known for using materials such as SeShweshwe, pinstripes, wool, and crafted pieces such as leather and bells to present his collection as art, not just fashion.
Carlo is always looking at issues that could be solved through fashion. In 2021, he created a 3-in-1 jacket for the homeless, which can be used as a blanket, jacket and storage.
