Information
Founded and created in the midst of all the chaos in 2020, Thulani’s brand, Saint Vuyo, touched the SA Fashion Week with a collection one year out of Varsity. Mlambo completed his bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at the Design School of Southern Africa and then went on to LISOF in 2019 to do his honours.
His high-fashion line is inspired by the notion of breaking our society’s hegemonic gender norms while capturing personal stories from his boyhood and his African ancestry. Thulani chose the name Vuyo for his brand, which means Happiness. Given how much pleasure fashion has brought him, he thought this was quite fitting.
